How did you learn to write freeverse? Is this just your natural style of writing poetry?

Hi, thanks for the question. It really is just my natural style. In most of my poetry I tend to think of the accents of words as rhythm and use line breaks to break them up into measures. It’s not something I had though about much until recently. The words always had a certain rhythm for me, but others might not feel that. Adding more particular line breaks helped add clarity. I will occasionally write a more traditional poem. But mostly, I’m just experimenting and I find free verse the most suitable at the moment. 🙂
